Weight Loss Drugs Lose Out

So your doctor says you need to lose weight because, among other things, it will help lower your blood pressure. You go the old-fashioned route of diet and exercise, but nothing seems to work.

At this point, it may be tempting to turn to weight loss drugs—but beware. A recent review of several commonly prescribed drugs for weight loss shows that while they may help you shed pounds, their impact on blood pressure is less than ideal.
